School Caretakers

Salary: R6,600 p/m
Locations: Gauteng, Western Cape, KwaZulu-Natal, Eastern Cape, and Free State

We are currently seeking dedicated caretakers to join our team at primary schools across South Africa. This vital position ensures that our learning environments remain safe, clean, and well-maintained for our students.

The caretaker role is pivotal in supporting the smooth daily operations of our schools. You will be responsible for maintaining school facilities, carrying out minor repairs, and ensuring that the overall environment is welcoming and conducive to learning.

In this position, you will be expected to oversee the upkeep of classrooms, hallways, playgrounds, and other common areas. Your work will directly contribute to the health and safety of students and staff, reinforcing a positive educational experience.

This opportunity is available in at least five provinces, including Gauteng, Western Cape, KwaZulu-Natal, Eastern Cape, and Free State. Our schools are spread across these regions to provide diverse and dynamic working environments.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

• Performing routine cleaning and maintenance of school premises
• Conducting minor repairs and ensuring that all equipment is functioning correctly
• Setting up classrooms and common areas for daily activities and special events
• Coordinating with school management to address maintenance issues promptly
• Ensuring compliance with safety and health standards at all times

The requirements for the caretaker role are as follows:

• Proven experience in facility management, janitorial work, or a related field
• Ability to perform basic repairs and maintenance tasks independently
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A proactive approach to identifying and resolving maintenance issues
• Flexibility to work in different provinces and adapt to various school environments

Successful candidates should demonstrate a strong work ethic, reliability, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Previous experience in educational or institutional settings will be considered an asset.
